Football Manager 2022 Review: A Yearly Classic

The new Football Manager is here and is ready to take over the PC gaming world again! With only minor adjustments, the game still remains a fun, exciting spectacle that anyone of any level can get involved in.

Football Manager was seen as a game that helped people during lockdown, with no end to it and the constant challenges people set each other, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The new game is no different and fans continue to love what Sports Interactive brings out.

Football Manager 22 shows very minimal changes from the last game, keeping what they do right and just slightly tweaking it with a new graphics package that makes it stand out from the last.

The fundamentals of the game remain the same, but there are new features. One thing that has been added is a Data Hub, this is something for the manager(player) to see a more detailed analysis on performances from the user’s team.

There is now a different way to deal with transfer policies, as the players’ Director of Football can now plan for them where they may need to strengthen in what position, deadline day is now far more crucial as clubs rivals are now much more likely to hijack deals, making it more difficult.

FM22 offers the same modes as before, whether it be a classic career, either starting unemployed or at a chosen club, create a club, where the user would choose an existing club and edit them as much as they want. The game also has modes to play with friends, whether it be a draft or an online save.

Football Manager is the best example of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ and the creators continue to provide high-quality games every year. This year is not different, and the addictive football game is set to be a lot of people’s favourite game this Christmas period.
