The Three Quirkiest Places to Stay in Scotland

If you are looking to escape to some of the most unique places in Scotland then look no further, here are some of the best unusual stays in the whole country:

Airship002 - Now this is a place to stay truly like no other. Airship002 is an aluminium pod located in Drimnin Scotland. The pod looks like something out of a sci-fi movie, with two large windows at either end to peer out onto the beautiful surrounding landscape and smaller windows on each sidewall to take in views of the Isle of Mull across the water.

The Tree Howf - Ever wanted to sleep under the stars in a house built into a tree hanging off the side of a hill? Of course, you have. This treehouse that every kid dreamed of having is based in the Ochil Hills in Craighead Howfs (hence the punny name). You have a massive window above the handmade king-size bed you can sleep in to fall asleep gazing up into the night sky, or as the owner of the property suggests if you have issues sleeping with too much light, bring a sleeping mask.

The Castle Snug – If you are looking for somewhere a lot less rural to stay then this is the place for you. The Castle Snug is based in the heart of Edinburgh just 200 metres away from Edinburgh Castle, and in fact, is a miniature castle in itself. The small apartment-like building is detailed meticulously as the big castle just around the corner and is as close as you can come to having your own castle for the night as a lot of us will ever get.
