It's Christmas time in Toulouse

If you are looking to take a short break and recharge during the Christmas period, Toulouse, located in the south of France, would be a great place to go.

This city has the kindest people who are happy to help and offer assistance if you can’t speak French. This city is full of life and fun excursions. Here is a starting point of what to do and where to get some delicious food if you ever visit Toulouse!

The restaurants in Toulouse are very chic and offer food that is so tasty you will be left wanting to take some home.  The food was also reasonably priced; although it cost 70 euros for a three-course meal, it was a very enjoyable experience, and they were very generous.

The most popular dishes which tasted delightful were the Beouf Bourguignon, Pistachio cake dessert (pictured above) and the lovely crepes made fresh on the streets of Toulouse.

The Christmas Market, which came to life on the 25th of November, is where you’ll get the true feeling of Christmas in Toulouse. The Christmas Market, although small, feels very warm and cosy. This is where you’ll see families out and about spreading Christmas cheer. Expect to see beautiful lights and fairs alongside eating hot French food and desserts. This Christmas Market is in the centre of most shops on the high street, so it serves as a great break while you shop.

If you are interested in planes and want to learn something new, you can visit Aeroscopia, the airbus museum. There is lovely scenery on the way to this museum. This museum has kept most of the airbus planes, and they have the history available to read on sight. After seeing all the history behind the planes, you can purchase a souvenir. It’s such a wonderful experience to see where the airbus started and where it is now.

It wouldn’t be France without wine and cheese. Toulouse has many small cafes that serve this. One cafe that has a great ambience and great customer service is L’Alimentation. It has a great selection of wines, cheeses, and desserts. It is very Instagram-worthy for all you bloggers out there and serves well as a break if you’re strolling around town or waiting on someone.
