Premier League: Three key Moments

Everything remains to be played for in the Premier League this season, and the recent fixtures provided fans with the same high-quality football as plenty of drama was played out.

Spurs stun City to blow title race open (Man City- 2 Spurs -3)

Manchester City have given up a massive gap in the title race this season, what was once seen as a formality that they would win the title, they could see their lead cut to three points should Liverpool win their game in hand.

It was a relief for Spurs and Antonio Conte, the public started to wonder if this side had what it took to get back in the top four, but a win at the home of the champions will give everyone a boost as they compete with the likes of Manchester United, West Ham and Arsenal, with all the clubs battling it out for that fourth spot.

Forget storm Eunice, it was the Hurrikane that blew City away. The Tottenham striker put on a show for all, with a performance which was rewarded with two goals and all three points, leaving City fans enraged as the Englishman was reportedly set for a move to the blue side of Manchester last summer, only for it to fall through.

Liverpool beat Norwich to close gap (Liverpool- 3 Norwich -1)

Liverpool are in blistering form at the moment, and it has got Man City worrying, they have cut the gap to six points with a convincing win over Norwich. They have picked up form at the right time and with multiple games coming up in a short space of time, including a cup final versus Chelsea, every win they get will be as crucial as the last with them still competing on all four fronts.

Norwich can take some positives from their display at Anfield, they even took the lead at one stage, they continued to play to a high intensity. They look destined still for relegation, but they will keep fighting in what would be a massive shock to stay in the division for another season.

Despite going one down early on in the second half, Liverpool remained calm under pressure and fought back quickly with goals from Mane, Salah and a first for new signing Luis Diaz as they walked away with all three points. Chasing their 20th league title, Liverpool are set to play their game in hand against Leeds, in the hope they cut the gap at the top to three points.

Watford gain priceless win at Villa Park (Villa- 0 Watford -1)

Under new management yet again, Watford and Roy Hodgson picked up a crucial three points at Aston Villa as they look to push for what would be a great escape. They fought hard for all three points and an away win to a very tough opposition will give the hornets a massive confidence boost, but consistency will be key for them as this is what stifled them before.

The Honeymoon period is over for Steven Gerrard and Aston Villa, another game without a win and the performances have been concerning. Players seemingly are disinterested and are not putting in the work that Gerrard thrived off at Rangers, he will need to pick up form soon before the players and the public begin to turn on him.

It was a very lacklustre performance from Aston Villa, they were outdone by just the one goal but it should’ve been worse for them, they were second best to everything and after Dennis scored the winner in the second half, they almost gave up on trying to get anything from the match.

One point from nine, Gerrard needs a reaction from his Villa players
