This arcade-themed bar is a gamer’s paradise, located underneath Merchant Square, travelling downstairs is like time travelling back to the 80s/90s where the walls are lined in spray paint and arcade machines line the walls.

It’s not entirely faithful to the 80s vibe it goes for due to its modern music and 2000s nostalgia, with televisions to play Mario Kart on and first-player shooter games that have become so linked with childhood memories of arcade games for 2000s children.

The drinks are themed after iconic video game references to Mortal Kombat and Sonic and overall, it’s a great time, when the usual chit-chat in bars gets too boring, why would you not want to spice it up with a good game of Dance, Dance, Revolution?

October

If NQG4 is a gamer’s paradise, October is pretty much the opposite, instead October is fun for a different reason – it's the perfect spot for girl’s night.

The bar is located on the top floor of Princess Square and is covered in pink decorations from head to toe and is the most girly bar you may ever come across in Glasgow, with funny poppy music and cute cocktails.

Girls can feel free to express their feminine side here and have fun without worrying about the usual bar worries that many women come across, it’s a very cute bar with a comforting atmosphere that so many bars seem to miss.

Don’t be surprised while in October, the sheer amount of people taking aesthetic Instagram pictures here, and who could blame them, the background of the bar is practically Instagram’s dream?

Golf Fang Crazy Golf

This is widely different from the other bars on this list as Golf Fang is a hybrid of a bar and a regular crazy golf place, while it shares a similar style to NQ64, Golf Fang is the perfect opportunity to have a long-lasting game with friends while sipping on some delicious drinks.

Located across the road from the OVO Hydro, it’s a hilarious time to share with people around you. Many holes are centred around funny themes such as toilets and hamster cages that allow you and your friends to laugh.

There is also a bar in the centre of the warehouse where you can sit and enjoy your drinks just after or before a game of crazy golf, everything about this place is worth all the money you spend on entry.

Delmonicas

Delmonicas is one of the most popular gay bars in all of Glasgow, it’s colourful and over the top with rainbows plastered all over both the inside and outside and loud music that play a crucial part in the Glasgow scene.

The bar has regular quizzes with fun prizes and almost always has a Glasgow drag queen offering a fun night of lip-syncs and comedy, it’s a great time for anyone looking to have a good laugh with everyone in the bar.

People in the bar, customers and staff alike are encouraged to get along and chat, it’s a great atmosphere with the promise to make new friends for the night.
