'Paramore' absolutely rocked the Glasgow stage, coming back after 5 years, and it was definitely worth the wait. Complimented by opening acts 'Rozi Plain'- a London folk-rock musician - and 'Bloc Party' - an iconic English rock band - it was a night to remember.

The lights went down as anticipation rose and fans screamed as Paramore took to the stage to open with ‘You First’ and ‘The News’, both singles from the new 2023 album ‘This is Why’. Immediately, Hayley Williams exudes such enthusiasm and passion for every lyric she sings - her stage presence was incredible from start to finish.

The audience interaction that the band emanates makes every single fan feel a part of a family. The energy and love that they brought to Glasgow was there to stay in the hearts of every fan. Specifically, in the midst of performing ‘Ain’t it Fun’, Hayley stopped everything to bring aid to a fan in standing. This happened a few times during the set and every single time her compassion was so evident, it shows such a deep care and connection between the artist and the fan.

Throughout the performance, there were so many iconic songs such as ‘That’s What You Get’ - from the 2007 album ‘Riot!’, ‘Hard Times’ and ‘Caught in the Middle’ from the 2017 album ‘After Laughter’. Hayley Williams even played ‘Crystal Clear’ from her personal album ‘Petals For Armor (2020)’ as well as a solo cover of ‘Rip it Up’ a single from the Scottish band 'Orange Juice'. Similarly, drummer 'Zac Farro' performed his new unreleased single ‘Baby’ with his entourage from 'HalfNoise'.

The anticipated song ‘Misery Business’ was amazing to hear performed live. In true Paramore style, they brought a fan on stage to sing the final verse and chorus, super fan Dev was chosen after 22 shows hoping to get the opportunity, and she absolutely smashed it. If you were not a Paramore fan, you would think she was part of the band. She dominated the stage, belting every word and acing the choreography.

'Back to back', ‘Last Hope’, and ‘All I Wanted’ left everyone in tears. The energy from all fans was so intense, everyone was giving it their all to every song and matching the energy of the band identically. Before the encore, the band exited the stage and a compilation of behind-the-scenes album-making played, showing the true friendship and connection between every band member.

One last time, Paramore graced the stage to finish on a high of ‘The Only Exception’ and the debut single of the newest album ‘This is Why’. It was the best finish to an unreal performance as the confetti poured from the ceiling and the smoke machines engulfed the stage.

Overall, Paramore is a must-see band with their overwhelming talent and energy, and it was one of the most enjoyable concerts ever experienced. We are all Paramore!
