1.  Metal/Heavy Rock/Good Ol’ Emo Music – The Cathouse:

If you found yourself to be a big My Chemical Romance fan in your younger years, have a strong passion for heavy eyeliner, love a bit of Slipknot every now and then or you consider yourself a metalhead, the Cathouse is the right place for you. It has three floors all dedicated to different sub-genres within rock music and truly has something for anyone who identifies as emo, goth, scene-kid or just loves rock music! It makes for an incredibly fun night out for fans of that kind of music, or for those just looking for something a bit different.

2.  Indie/Indie Rock – Firewater:

If you’re looking for a place to dance your heart out too Sam Fender or cry to Wolf Alice, Firewater could make your Thursdays livelier! Open seven days a week with one of the busiest student nights in Glasgow every Thursday night, Firewater never makes for a dull night and is perfect for fans of indie music looking for a sweaty dancefloor.

3.  .R&B/Pop - Bamboo/Kokomo:

Sister clubs Bamboo and Kokomo will make for the ideal night out for you if you’re a fan of the top 40 or any subgenre of R&B. In each club, the music varies through each room, as each consists of a pop, R&B and indie room. They have incredible student night deals (Bamboo holds one every Wednesday and Kokomo every Thursday) and both feature nights made even more incredible by famous Glasgow DJ ‘DJ Toast’.

4. Reggaeton/Latin Pop – Mango:

The only club of its kind in Glasgow, Mango is a Latin American club with a busy weekend scene for those looking for a night of strictly dancing and hearing tunes you might not hear anywhere else. Each room in Mango is very unique, with a Latin American theme running through the whole club.

5.   Electronic Dance Music - La Cheetah Club/Sub Club:

Both recently popularised by a resurgence in extreme popularity of the many subgenres of EDM, Sub Club and La Cheetah Club both make for an incredibly unique night out. These places are ideal for those looking for a mini rave in the city centre. Even if EDM isn’t your thing they still live up to the hype and make for a fun night that you won’t forget!
