Chelsea's horror season continues as pressure piles on Poch

After a narrow loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, Chelsea found themselves hitting rock bottom. To compound Pochettino’s misery, this was the 6th final in a row at Wembley which Chelsea had failed to win, leaving pundits and fans questioning the state of the club.
Joseph, 44, from Newcastle, said: “With his budget probably, yeah [he should be sacked], because I don't know if the club is going in the right direction and the previous Chelsea Manager was sacked for less.”
Chelsea produced a great performance to progress in the FA Cup over Leeds. Pochettino will be hoping that given Wednesday's win this puts his side just one match away from reaching Wembley yet again this season and that he’ll be granted the time to turn things around.
Daniel, 25, from Motherwell, said: “I think it's a project, the squad is very young. I don’t think they’ll win anything that quickly so Pochittino needs more time and some more experienced players.”
The Pochettino era has been full of inconsistency in performance. Chelsea have often failed to follow up a good result with another recently, which has led to a seriously underwhelming performance in the Premier League, as Pochettino’s men currently sit 11th in the table.
Martin, 67, from Bishopbriggs, said: “Chelsea have such huge potential, I would give him time to see if he can turn it around. The problem with Chelsea is they tend to make quick decisions and sack their managers. If you look at Alex Fergusson, he originally started terribly at Manchester United, and turned out to be one of the greatest football managers ever.”
Pochettino is trying to build a young squad, and at times there has been positive signs of success down the line. But Chelsea fans won't wait too long.
