While what seems like half of Glasgow camps out in the queue for the Hydro to see The 1975, if you’re looking for a slightly quieter weekend, here are some of the highlights of what’s going on in Glasgow’s music scene this weekend.
Friday 9 February
Lacuna’s Live EP
Lacuna, the Glasgow based six-piece, are making waves with their signature folk-rock sound. Their new Live EP, Greenhouse Baby, is out this Friday, and if you’re looking to dive into some upcoming bands in Glasgow’s DIY scene, look no further.

The Midnight Blues Band – Howlin’ Wolf
If you’re planning on staying out late to see the weekend in and fancy a departure from Howlin’ Wolf’s weekly regulars, The Midnight Blues Band will be playing the venue for the first time in months. Their Mississippi-style blues will have you up and dancing until 2 am.

Thee Dagger Debs – Nice n’ Sleazy this Saturday
In their first Scottish gig in years, the pub-rock London three-piece will be playing at Nice n’ Sleazy this Saturday. The line-up, started in 2011, has garnered critical acclaim and even curated a playlist for Fred Perry.

Spyres SXSW 2024 Fundraiser – Sunday at Stereo
If you’re looking to go further in your support of local music, Glasgow's four-piece Spyres will be playing Stereo this Saturday, 10 February, to raise money to perform at SXSW 2024. Any ticket profits will go towards their travels and accommodation at the legendary Texas festival this March.
