We are only in the first quarter of 2024 and already one of the biggest tours of next year has been announced.
On 22nd February fans of Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium got the best news imaginable to them. Both bands have announced that they will be doing a co-headlining arena tour in the UK next year to celebrate two albums that turn 20 next year. This much-anticipated announcement has come after a fair bit of teasing from both bands, including Instagram wiping and cryptic hints from Matt Heafy from Trivium during their last UK tour in 2023.
The aptly named ‘The Poisoned Ascendency Tour’ will go all over the UK, it will kick off in Cardiff at the Utilita arena, then stopping at the Hydro here in Glasgow, the Co-op live in Manchester, the Utilita arena in Birmingham, before coming to an end in London at the O2.
Bullet For My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck, said to Kerrang!: “I honestly can’t believe it's been 20 years since the release of The Poison, and what an incredible 20 years it’s been, I feel so proud of what we’ve achieved as a band in the last two decades and it all started with that debut album.”
Both albums caused the bands to gain massive traction and they blew up around the releases of each album. It was a very notable achievement for Bullet for My Valentine as it was the band's debut album, and Trivium’s Ascendancy went on to be nominated and win the band many awards. The band members have described the tour as a celebration of the two albums, which for different reasons played a massive part in the growth of both bands and influenced the metal scene significantly.
Tickets for the tour go on sale on the 18th February for the O2 presale, for everyone else tickets drop on 1st of March.
