Is it really Finger Lickin’ Good?-St Enoch, KFC Review

★★★

On Tuesday 26 November 2024, KFC opened a new outlet in the food court at St Enoch Centre. Staff in the KFC were very focused on delivering the services people wanted, however there was no till insight despite the self-ordering kiosk advertising one.

Sarah Morris, 34, from Glasgow, said: “I paid in cash, it took the staff a few minutes to notice me. When I did hand them my money, they took it into the back and gave me my change. When they walked away it left a feeling of uncertainty in me.”

KFC has been in the highlight of activism due to its ties to Israeli trading admits the Palestine boycott. Many people have started clearing out of the business. But despite many KFC’s closing due to this controversy, the newly opened one seems to be doing well for its two-day debut.

Though the food was a tad pricey, it was tasty, high quality and very filling. After not being at KFC for over a year, we were not dissapointed. We could tell it was freshly made which made the experience better.

But although the food may may be up to scratch, the new branch still has some challenges ahead.

Their first Restaurant Operations Compliance Check (ROCC) is due to be assessed on 2 December 2024. ROCC covers 10 areas of the store including health and safety, equipment and pest control.

An employee for the company said: “They passed their inspection, but their uniform standards are not up to par. The team uniform is a team member t-shirt, red cap, black trousers and slip-proof shoes.

“When I went, they had a KFC varsity jacket which goes against the uniform standard and would be a level one violation. Too many level one violations and it will be classed as a fail.”

Let’s hope the fast food’s newest establishment continues to thrive.
