Donald Trump is now a two-time president of the United States of America, being elected in 2016 and serving the full four-year term.

He is back again after the 2024 elections. And already in 2025 he has amassed 30,573 untruthful or false claims and statements.

We look at some of his worst so far:

– Schools are performing secret gender affirming surgeries.

Donald Trump, President of the USA, said: “Your child goes to school, and they take your child.

“It was a ‘he’, and it comes back a ‘she’, And they do this, often without parental consent.”

This was said during a rally in Pennsylvania during the 2024 presidency election.

There is no evidence that US schools have sent children in gender affirming surgeries without consent from parents, or that they are performing these surgeries on site in school.

Trumps own presidential campaign could not give a single example to prove that anything of this sort ever took place in the USA.

Even in states where gender affirming surgeries are legal for people under 18, parental consent is required before any of this can take place.

– 32k Haitian immigrants were ‘dropped’ into Springfield on purpose.

Donald Trump, President of the USA, said: “They dropped 32,000 illegal aliens.

“They tried to give them legal terminology, but- it's not. Illegal aliens, 32,000 into a 50,000-person town, beautiful town, no problems, and now they don’t know what to do.”

This was Donald giving his views on a supposed dropping of 32,000 illegal immigrants into the town of Springfield, Ohio.

While we don’t know the immigration status of every Haitian immigrant in Springfield, the community is, overall, in the country legally, under the immigration parole programme, once there, immigrants are able to apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

Secondly nobody ‘dropped’ the immigrants into Springfield.

The cities Haitian residents were not sent there buy a government resettlement programme. Rather they independently decided to move to the city because of employment opportunities, housing opportunities and other factors.

Foreign countries are emptying their jails to allow criminals to enter the USA.

Donald Trump, President of the USA, said: “I know what they’re going to do.

“They’re going to open up their jails and just dump them into the United States, and that's what happened.

“All over South America, all over the Middle East, all over Asia, all over Europe, all over Africa.”

There is no evidence for this claim, the recorded global prison population increased from October 2021 to April 2024, from at least 10.77 million people to around 10.99 million people, according to the World Prison Population list compiled by experts in the UK.

– 325,000 children are missing, dead, sex slaves or slaves under the Biden administration.

Donald Trump, President of the USA, said: “325,000 children are missing, dead, sex slaves or slaves – 325,000 children who came in through the open border are now missing, many of them are dead.”

This is a gross inflammation and misconstruing of federal statistics.

It is assumed he was referring to the August report from the Homeland security Department's Office of Inspector General, which said that ICE had numbered around 32,000 unaccompanied migrant children failed to appear for immigration court hearings after being released or transferred out of custody between 2019 and 2023.

A period that notably includes two years where Trump was still in office first time round.

The report also said that 291,000 unaccompanied migrant children were not given notices to appear in court during this period.

– They are ‘eating’ pets in Springfield.

Donald Trump, president of the USA, said: “In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in, they’re eating the cats.

“They’re eating the pets of the people that live there.”

These claims of immigrants eating the pets of Springfield came about from allegedly a video of a Springfield Ohio resident claiming to the town's council that the immigrants of the community were killing the ducks around a local park for food.

The video which was never verified quickly spread throughout right-wing media and accounts.

– Inflation was Harris’ fault

Donald Trump, president of the USA, said: “The worst inflation of our lifetime, maybe the worst inflation we’ve ever had because I don’t think they’re - I mean, I know for a fact they’re not adding all of the numbers; if they did, I think it's the worst inflation in our, the lifetime of the country.”

It is not true the US has had the worst inflation of all time under the Biden administration or that the Bureau of Labor Statistics isn't “adding all of the numbers”, Trump could say that the US inflation hit a 40 year high in summer 2022, when it was 9.1%, but that is nowhere close to the all-time high of 23.7% in 1920.
