Buckie buckle under Banks of Dee
Buckie Thistle's season continues to fail to live up their usual standards as home team Banks of Dee defeated them 2-0 to continue their title push in hopes of being promoted.
It was a fiery match between the two with Iain Vigurs scoring the first ten minutes to give the hosts the lead, Liam Duell netted another goal to double the lead ensuring the Dee have a comfortable position in 3rd, 5 points above Clachnacuddin. Buckie were held back in 9th, despite winning the league last year they have come short of expectations. Thistle will be hoping to hit a good run of from coming into the business end of the season to limit damage.

Clachnacuddin and Brechin City go toe to toe in brilliant game
Clachnacuddin FC hosted Brechin City in a great contest with over 6 goals scored. Brechin opened the score line with Brad McKay getting on the end of the cross from the corner, gently slotting it away. It didn’t take too long for the Lilywhites to respond, 7 minutes to be exact, as James Anderson headed in the ball from a cross to make it 1-1.
Brechin won a penalty before half time but it was kept out by the post, however, a free kick in the second half meant Lewis Milne could take a hit and score. Using the goal post to Brechin's advantage this time. It wasn’t long before Dayle Robertson was played through past Clachnacuddins defence and clinically finished it off to make it 1-3. Brad McKay made it a brace as a shot from outside the box and between the keepers left made it 1-4. James Anderson got on the end of another cross to head it to get his own brace. Final score was 2-4 for Brechin City, to keep them on top of the table with games in hand.

Hearts U/21 fails to show case talent
Vanloq Community Stadium, Ainslie Park was the venue for last Friday night’s game as Civil Servants Strollers came to take on Hearts U/21, with both teams sitting in the mid table position looking to move up.
The first half was lacklustre with neither team scoring, however, a wonder strike from CS Strollers by Callum Yeats in the 65th minute put them up by 1. It wasn’t long before Mathew Gillies headed the ball into his own net after a Strollers corner, to make it 0-2. This was a historic win for Civil Servants, being their first win in this low league Edinburgh derby, as they aim to finish as high as they can with the remaining months of the season.
