By Luca Menichetti

Italian Panini collector Gianni Bellini will have his prized private collection of popular Italian brand Panini on display inside the Scottish Football Museum located inside Hampden Park.

Continuing until Wednesday 12th of March, the public can access this famous private collection between 10am and 5pm, (11am on Sundays).

This Exhibition is also there to highlight the connections between Italian and Scottish football cultures. It will also reveal the stories of both male and female players, as well as the Panini brand itself.

It will also offer a nostalgia trip to older viewers, bringing back old memories of their collections. The exhibition will also bring the Panini experience to younger audience.

Bellini, the face of the exhibition, is also considered as the world’s leading collector. He started collecting football stickers at the age of 19.

He has completed many albums, with one of the oldest albums he owns being the 1958 world cup Brazil national team sticker album.

Each year he spends about £3.5k on Panini stickers and with that he is also known for his completed 1970 Mexico world cup sticker album, which is estimated to be worth up to £9k.

After seeing this collection, people will be able to understand that the word “panini” has much more meaning than just a toasted sandwich.
