Smart Works Scotland (SWS) is a shop that helps unemployed struggling women get jobs by providing them with smart clothing. The shop was set up to give poor women who have difficult living conditions and a lack of resources a better chance of getting jobs. SWS welcomes donated clothes, as this helps poor women purchase new or preowned clothing and accessories at a cheap cost to make them more successful at job interviews.
SWS have opened a three-day shopping experience event for customers in Buchannan Street. This event will give the public an idea of what SWS is about and will attract more attention to the company. The event opened today at 10:00am and will close at 5pm. It is a three-day event and will finish at 5pm on Sunday.
This event gives customers a chance to browse a selection of new and preowned clothes. SWS will also give customers the chance to consider some new fashionable merchandise at 75% off.

Caroline, 53, from Cumbernauld said: “It’s not much of an event when there’s nobody there, but what I hear it’s for a good cause so good on them. I’ve not heard of it, and I’ll not be interested in looking again but good luck to them.”
‘Use fashion as a force for good’ is plastered across their social media pages, and that ties in with their goal to help their clients. The SWS workers are looking forward to welcoming customers and will be hoping that it isn’t a onetime visit and that they gain even more clients to help.
Customers can follow SWS on social media platforms such as Instagram - @smartworksscotland, X - @SmartWorksSCOT, or Facebook - @Smart Works Scotland. This gives customers the chance to keep track of the event, be aware of upcoming events, and to keep up to date with SWS through their socials.
