The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is currently running an exhibition called Stories. Opened yesterday, this is a month-long exhibition which is held on High Street in Glasgow.

The photographs are displayed in person at 279-281 High Street, Glasgow in The Glasgow Gallery of Photography and online on their website.

Glasgow Gallery of Photography is a sanctuary for the art of capturing moments and emotions through lens, nestled in the heart of Glasgow. The gallery celebrates photographic creativity from local to global talent.

The theme of this exhibition is documentary photography and by using photographers from around the globe to tell their stories from unique perspectives. This exhibition uses photographs of love, war, protests and scenery to evoke emotion, memories and reflections on the human experience.

This exhibition allows photographers to tell their stories, or their own interpretation of other stories, places or events and this theme is one of the best ways to tell their stories.

This exhibition celebrates the art of visual storytelling in many forms. From using photographs taken from the UK, USA, Germany, Lithuania, Italy and more this exhibition captures different narratives which is the heart of this exhibition.

The creativity is shown through a variety of photography techniques like unique angles, different lighting such as black and white photographs and interesting framing.

Late last year photographers from around the world were able to submit eight of their photos that met the theme of documentary photography to be a part of this exhibition. Submissions were accepted online through Photo Contest Insider and Curator Space website with a deadline of the 7 October 2024.
