New Darts lanes at the Tiki Bar and Kitsch Inn Glasgow
By Arran Munro
The Tiki bar and Kitsch Inn on Glasgow's Hope Street, known for its high-quality cocktails, exotic themes and highly rated Thai cuisine has just added another attraction to its ever-growing popular set up. A new darts area, fitted with state-of-the-art lanes, has opened upstairs.
The thriving cocktail lounge looks to attract visitors with a fun filled atmosphere and five new augmented reality darts boards.
Some may see a casual and enjoyable time; however, it may also have a competitive aspect, as the official Tiki Bar website encourages the serious player also, highlighting who could be “The next budding Luke Littler”.
The Darts Den, opening today offers 100 free games for the first 100 guests that visit to try out the new cutting-edge technology on offer.
Prices start at £15 per half hour, which undercuts all the competition in Glasgow for darts, offering a new type of game that is suitable for anyone and opening the doors for a fun filled escape.
Ian, manager of the Tiki bar, said: “Pub culture as it’s traditionally known, is on the decline and we needed a new and fun activity to help push forward our brand without exactly stepping away from the bar scene inertly.
“I believe that this will help bring popularity and something that not every bar offers therefore helping us stand out. Darts after all is a very pub and older generation type of sport, therefore we think that it will work quite well, and is also fairly cost effective.”
The new Darts Den has replaced the previously situated restaurant upstairs with five lanes in its place, however they will still be serving Thai cuisine on site.
The family run business will be hosting potential Darts tournaments and dedicated nights that will bring in the crowds.
More information on the Darts Den at the Tiki Bar will follow as social media promotion and posts on multiple different platforms as of the 20th of February, so keep your eyes peeled for new updates and potential events as these new dart lanes have hit the bullseye!
