Celtic Women and Rangers Women are set to return to Parkhead and Ibrox respectively as the SWPL split gets well underway.

Rangers will play their upcoming game against Hearts at Ibrox on March 30, with the match set to kick off at 2pm. Rangers are in a good position ahead of the return to their ground, being only two points away from top-of-the-table Hibernian. Their opponent, Hearts, sit fifth.

The Light Blues will hope that they can come to Ibrox with a trophy in hand. This Saturday, they face Hibs in the final of the Sky Sports Cup, so they will pray that they can already have secured silverware before they return to league duties.

They will be hoping to get their hands on the league title again as well as they narrowly lost out to their city rivals last season, losing on goal difference when all was said and done. But now, Celtic trail the top spot by six points and will have to see positive results if they want a chance to retain their trophy.

But faith is still high in the Hoops dugout as Celtic have scheduled their final game of the season to be played at Paradise. On May 18, they will face Motherwell, and Elena Sadiku will be hoping that her side can record a great run of results in the run-up to the big occasion.

For the last few years, the SWPL title race has come down to the final day, and with the media dubbing this one the tightest race ever, there’s still everything to play for.
