Netflix celebrate 'Stranger Things Day' by announcing episode titles

By Jack Cranmer

In the first series of Netflix’s hit original series ‘Stranger Things’ one of the main characters Will Byers, a 12-year-old boy from the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana goes missing on 6 November 1983, sparking a series of events that kick off the story that has now spanned four seasons with a fifth and final season set for release next year.

To celebrate the ‘anniversary’ of Noah Schnapp’s characters disappearance on this fictional date, Netflix have released some teasing information to fans of the show, announcing via a video on their social media platforms the names of each episode for the upcoming finale season.

In the minute long video there is, unfortunately no footage from the season itself but the titles are announced, and they are as follows:

  1. The Crawl

  2. The Vanishing of…

  3. The Turnbow Trap

  4. Sorcerer

  5. Shock Jock

  6. Escape from Camazotz

  7. The Bridge

  8. The Rightside Up

So even when announcing episode titles Netflix have kept some suspense, not announcing who, or what is vanishing in episode 2.

This season is set to be a spectacular conclusion with many set piece scenes and scenarios sure to delight and astound fans.

Maya Hawke, who plays character Robin Buckley said: “We’re making, basically, eight movies. The episodes are very long” which will be news to fans ears who will be hoping this culturally significant show will end on a high note and not a flat disappointment as others on the same scale, such as Game of Thrones.

With no official release date announced yet other than the year fans will have to take whatever crumbs of knowledge they can get, and this will cause both discussion and speculation online with both what was announced and equally with what was purposely omitted.

Fans patiently await the epic conclusion of a story which has seen many viewers grow up off screen while the cast has grown up on screen, and they will be hoping and praying that things get a little less strange for the kids of Hawkins, and will hope they can finally get a happy, peaceful ending that they deserve.
