President, Businessman, Actor?: All of Donald Trump’s film cameos ranked

By Dylan Hughes

Trump appears in ‘Ghosts can’t do it’

Donald Trump is known for many things such as politics, hotels and his controversial statements.

Something that the newly re-elected president Trump is perhaps less known for is his award-winning performances in films. Making cameos in classics such as Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and Zoolander.

Here are all his performances ranked from worst to... slightly less worse:

9. 54

To start off the list, we have a nothing cameo in a nothing movie from Trump. It is about the famous New York nightclub, 54.

He can be seen at a party halfway through the film and while he does fit in, he doesn’t really do anything of note whatsoever in the film, making for easily the weakest cameo of the lot.

This one is so niche, there isn’t even a clip to post.

8. The Celebrity

Here, Trump shows off his great acting skills here by playing a complex and cocky character called... Donald Trump.

He is seen being interviewed about what he is currently working on in life for no real reason, saying he plans on destroying a cathedral to put up a new “beautiful” building.

Another nothing cameo, but somehow not the worst.

7. The Associate

Trump doesn’t do much here in the Whoopi Goldberg flick, just kind of standing there for a majority of his runtime.

He does say something funny before leaving that pushes it over a few others for me stating that he is going to “crash and burn” before walking off, never to be seen again.

I would’ve enjoyed seeing Trump crashing and burning in the film but what is left here is still decent: short but sweet.

6. Ghosts Can’t Do It

In this rom-com, Trump, once again, plays himself. Stick to what youre good at I suppose.

In a performance so good that it garnered him a Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actor, he gives a woman business advice in a scene.

Not much to say about this one, but it gets extra points knowing the fact that it technically made Trump an award-winning actor.

5. Two Weeks' Notice

Trump, once again, stars in another romcom, this time with Hugh Grant at the peak of his popularity back in the early 2000s.

The only enjoyable part about this one was the idea of Hugh Grant and Donald Trump meeting each other in the first place.

You wouldn’t think they would get along well but here, the two manage to share a fun back and forth, with Trump essentially telling him to watch out before he steals his girl, making for a comedic moment to lighten up the mood after what happened to Grant’s character previously.

4. Wall Street 2: The City Never Sleeps

The not-so-well received sequel to the Oliver Stone classic, Wall Street: The Money Never Sleeps, sees Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko, going to get his hair cut and while there, Gekko meets the man himself, friend, Donald Trump.

Gekko and Trump talk about the usual Wall Street nonsense, while also stating that they both love this barber, making for a funny, albeit long encounter that adds a lot of realism to the Wall Street universe.

Trump however, never made the final cut of this masterpiece due to what the creators called ‘unreasonable demands’.

3. Home Alone 2: Lost In New York

“Down the hall, and to the left”

The classic Trump cameo that everyone knows about already. Young Kevin McCallister somehow finds his way in a hotel in New York, and while looking for the lobby, he comes across someone that can help him, New York citizen, Donald Trump.

He doesn’t do, or say a lot here, but it is so iconic that it is hard to not include it in the top three.

2. The Little Rascals

Cute: a word never usually associated with Trump, but The Little Rascals seemingly have done the impossible.

One of the main characters in the film Waldo, while driving around preparing for a race, decides to call his father, played by Trump, telling him he’s “the best son that money could buy”.

A surprisingly wholesome scene considering we’re talking about Donald Trump, and one of his best.

1. Zoolander

“Look, without Derek Zoolander, male modelling wouldn’t be what it is today”

While it may be one of his shortest cameos, it is also one of his strongest.

Just the mere thought of Trump being canon in the Zoolander universe is funny on its own, but the fact that they go above and beyond, having Trump praise him as the reason for the rise in male modelling is simply incredible, and makes the cameo absolutely worthy of first place.
