Passengers are currently boarding for Somewhere by Nico’s latest themed evening.

The Glasgow restaurant is accepting reservations until November 24 when guests can immerse themselves in an exciting new cocktail experience inspired by Agatha Christie’s classic book ‘Murder on the Orient Express’.

Rosalyn Meney, a Scottish game designer, collaborated to build an immersive menu which tells a story of a murder mystery through cocktails.

Somewhere by Nico have added their own twist on the mystery novel by calling their event Murder on The Midnight Express, where visitors take part in a game of suspense and mystery alongside creative and refreshing cocktails that hide clues within.

Murder on The Midnight Express takes place on Glasgow’s Byres Road and begins with the horrifying murder of the train’s cook Gustave Laroche. Before beginning service, he was having a drink when he was fatally shot in his own kitchen. The culprit, a careless novice who left a trail of clues behind gives visitors a head start into investigating this mystery and piecing it together for the final reveal at the end of the night.

Each drink course will be presented with a clue that will help them solve the case. Each cocktail will bring guests a step closer to solving the murder while introducing them to a variety of captivating personalities who all had connections to Gustave and their own possible motives.

Drinks are linked by names of places on the train such as The Crime Scene, Room 36, The Bar, The Engine Room and finally The Lounge, where you, as the visitor, scan each area looking for evidence, hoping to find the big break in the case.
